Kim Victoria Cattrall (born August 21st, 1956) is an actor from Canada, British. most well-known for her performance in the role of Samantha Jones in the HBO show Sex and the City for which she received five Emmy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award nominations winning the 2002 Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. She reprised the role in the film Sex and the City (2008) as well as Sex and the City 2 (2010). Her main characters include Police Academy Big Trouble from Little China Mannequin, and Porky's from the 80s. Kim Cattrall's character on the HBO television show Sex & the City is her most memorable role. Cattrall is making a name for her acting career as an actress. Her portrayal as Samantha Jones was one of the most recognizable roles she played. It was not just amongst her national audience but she also became an international star. She's best known as the actress who played La Dolce Vita in the film comedy drama. The film won an Oscar as well as the Golden Palm at the Cannes Film Festival in 1960 and was also a commercial as well as critically acclaimed success. Before becoming an actor, the model born in Skane had a career in fashion. She eventually won the Miss Sweden contest. After she left Sweden for the US and starred in a variety of films in minor roles, her career took off. She played the Venusian guard in Abbott and Costello Go to Mars the film that was her first credits role. The film was later awarded the Golden Globe award in the Most Promising Newcomer category after being featured in the movie Blood Alley.
